Explore downtown King's boutique shopping, or venture into historic downtown Waupaca to enjoy the feel of small town USA. The nationally recognized Chain Skiers are sure to provide entertainment and have water-ski shows a few times a week behind the Veternan's Home in King. There's also a nice public swimming beach at South Park on Shadow Lake in town. You might enjoy taking a step back in time and visit the historic Red Mill and Covered Bridge (Rich and I were married ther years ago!)...Built in 1865, it's only a few miles away and well worth the visit. Enjoy some ice cream, coffee drink, or panini as you explore the Red Mill's grounds on the beautiful Crystal River. With plenty to do (or nothing at all if you choose) we're confident you'll enjoy our "Happy Place" as much as we do! In addition to us being readily available, most of our neighbors are full time residents and are helpful & friendly should you need any tips or advice on the area.
