The room is well-appointed by Annette with her stained glass pieces and other art, and has been recently renovated with new furniture and carpeting. Air conditioning has also been recently installed in the room so guests can independently choose their own level of comfort. A large picture window affords lots of light and a stunning view of the Guemes Channel and the San Juan Islands beyond. A smaller window and two skylights give additional light to this bright room. On clear nights one can see the lights of the Grouse Mountain Ski Resort behind Vancouver, British Columbia. A small deck/balcony with a small table and chairs opens off the room, so you can have a drink while you see even more of the Islands and view a picturesque shipyard/marina below. You can also see the Washington State Ferry terminal from the balcony and watch the ferries come and go, as well as watch large ships glide up and down the Channel. You know it must be a stunning view - the late Burl Ives' home is two doors down.
