A-Frame of Mind@Aikkya

Independent, compact A frame with a loft bed on the upper level and living space on ground level. The sunset and valley views from the loft, and stars twinkling through the sky lights at night are bound to put you in ‘the right frame of mind’.. This unit also features private outdoor seating space under a canopy of trees.

This is a tiny home. Its small. 180 Sqft- ground level and 56 sqft loft which just fits the mattress. Stairs to climb to the bed with a great view..

Stedet
A-Frame is part of Aikkya Farms. Aikkya, spread over 7.5 acres, sits amidst a fruit orchard and is the only inhabitant of the entire hillside. Feel free to say hello to the resident cow Mangla and her family, the dogs - Julie and Auli, and the cat - who goes by multiple names. You may also meet Shifu and Bolt if they are there at the time.

The estate has a large dining/ lounge with a home kitchen serving simple home cooked meals and snacks. We try to organically grow or locally procure most of the food we eat. Meal cost is 300/ meal for vegetarian fare and 400/meal for non-vegetarian. We also have a small menu for snacks and drinks. Entire days can be spent here, watching the clouds float around in the valley below, followed by the famed sunset in the evening.

Lots of interesting walks and hikes to be discovered within the estate itself while the reserved IVRI forest is at walking distance. Leopard sightings are common here.

A 15 minute hike also takes you to a majestic view of the Nanda Devi range on clear sky days.

It’s just a big green hill with only trees nearby. Only 2 houses far up in our line of sight. There could be some traffic sounds from the road below which is the price we pay for easy access to amenities.
