Capture the spirit of 1960s wanderlust in a vintage Airstream trailer. The curvaceous interior has been restored for comfort & ease of living. Situated on the site of the historic Greensboro Sawmill - from which the entire town was built! Perched in a woodland setting, with natural deck & firepit overhanging a cascading brook. Wander through the woods, enjoy the flowing water views & disconnect from the life you left behind.
This 1965 Airstream 'Globetrotter' is located in the heart of the NEK.

**UPDATE: The water supply will be turned off during cold-weather months to prevent pipes from freezing. The Airstream still has power, Wifi, heat & a composting outhouse available in winter - just no running water.**

This vintage 1965 Airstream 'Globetrotter' is a 19' long vacation in a trailer! The exterior is traditional "aircraft aluminum" & the interior has been restored for comfort & convenience...lots of storage drawers & cabinets. The interior features the original "Zolatone" paint.

The space boasts a couch, which transforms into a full-sized bed. (Since it can be a little tricky to unfold, we'll have the bed set up & already made with cozy linens & down comforter & warm blankets for your arrival.) Above the bed area is a sliding cabinet where we keep books, maps, etc. You'll find books on local Vermont wildflowers, mushrooms, campfire recipes & outdoor survival.

The kitchenette features a propane stove/oven, mini-fridge, microwave, toaster, and is fully equipped with pots & pans, bowls, colander, dishes, glasses & mugs, and utensils/cooking gadgets. There are many cabinets for storage.
The eating area is a table for 2 with cushioned seats & throw pillows, overlooking the deck & woodland setting. (This table & seats can be turned into an additional bed for a third person, upon prior approval.)

There are 2 storage closets between the kitchen & bathroom, where you'll find: extra blankets, bath/hand towels & washcloths, hair dryer, first aid kit, extra toilet paper, paper towels & space to hang clothing.

The bathroom features a medicine cabinet for storage & small shower stall with curtain & bath mat. There is a heater at this end of the trailer which can be used in colder months to heat the entire trailer. We have removed the toilet from inside the trailer & built a composting outhouse (with a light) just steps away from the trailer. We have provided lighting for a walk to the outhouse at night.

The Airstream is set up to be off-grid, powered by solar energy, with electricity as a backup. Internet & land line (from which you can make local calls) are part of modern conveniences. There is no TV - we recommend bringing a laptop if you'd like to stream movies via wifi.

Guests must carry in drinking water (though 2 bottles are provided in our reusable glass bottles in fridge). There is a limited supply of water (about 110 gallons) for showering/dish washing, etc. Water is gravity-fed from a tank in the sawmill barn & we must re-fill depending on how quickly guests use water. Water to the Airstream is only available up until the first chance of freezing in the fall, it becomes available again after the winter thaw and is safe for showering, hand-washing & doing dishes/cleaning. We recommend that you conserve water as much as possible - quick showers & don't leave water running for extended periods. If guests use water frivolously, there is a chance they will run out during their stay & will have to wait for us to refill the tank.

*Bring your own toiletries.
*The mini-fridge is small, so limit your grocery load until you see the space. You can walk to Willey's around the corner for groceries or supplies.
*Feel free to bring anything you might need for traditional camping - there's a good chance we already provide it, but best to be prepared!
*Limit shower times to be sure you don't run out of hot water! (This is a camper after all & the hot water heater runs off of solar power.)
