Peaceful stay in a charming & quaint home amidst orchards by the woods. Come experience a slow paced mountain life & practice mindfulness. The place is most suitable for a female solo traveller who is looking to spend some quality me-time.

I am opening my home to "only" solo female travellers.

I host only "one guest at a time" in my home.

I live with my 11 month pup Ollie who is like my child. If you are NOT comfortable with having a playful pup/dog around you then please refrain from booking.

The house is a five minute steep hike from the road. Located amidst orchards at the edge of the woods, the view from my home is gorgeous.

You would be staying in the guest room of the house. The room has a single bed, a family heirloom writing desk and chair, a cozy floor seating corner and small storage. All the bedding including bed warmer/electric under blanket will be provided.

You will wake up to the most melodious bird songs & gorgeous view of the mountains from the porch that also serves as the living & dinning area of the house. It gets plenty of sunlight depending on the weather and the season. You may nap in the sun, curl up with a book & a cup of chai, make some art , or just sit and watch the spectacular mountains during the day or a sky full of stars on a clear night.
Depending on the season, you could spot some beautiful Himalayan birds in the orchards and backyard. You'll witness some of the most beautiful sunsets.
The view from my home is beautiful almost all the year round.

- Breakfast/ Dinner/Snacks /Beverages are available at 'Extra Charges' if informed in advance.
- However, if it is a busy time of the year at work for me then it is difficult for me to provide meals so it would be best to eat out or order in.

A couple of them also deliver food.
Whenever it is possible for me (also if your meal timings match with mine (as mentioned. below 👇🏾), i will be happy to cook for you.

Naggar, Himachal Pradesh, India

Swati’s home is located in Naggar,Himachal Pradesh, India.

Naggar is a charming and quaint heritage village. It was the capital of the Kullu valley in the 15th century.

At a height of 5,775 ft, Naggar faces the lush apple and plum orchards of Raison & Katrain villages to its south and snow-capped Greater Himalayan mountain range to its north. Unlike the rest of the Kullu valley's major towns and villages located by the Beas, Naggar is ensconced high up in the mountains and has some of the best views to offer.

It is the place for solitude and soliloquy, poetry and art, and days spent rambling through forests, orchards and cute little villages dotted with traditional old wooden houses and rapidly growing concrete houses.

Naggar has some very beautiful walking and hiking trails which are worth exploring. Spectacular view of the Dhauladhars, gurgling streams, lush green forests, a smattering of beautiful temples, an art gallery & a museum by the famous Russian artist Nicholas Roerich, and an ancient Naggar castle built in kathkuni architecture make Naggar a very charming place for a quiet holiday.

My house is located in an orchard, close to the road yet by the woods. The neighborhood is beautiful & peaceful. There are limited but decent 'seasonal' cafes, bakeries and dhabas in the village which are mostly at a walking distance from the house. The village hospital and the pharmacy are close by.

There is a natural source of mineral water, called “Jairu” in the local dialect, close to my place. The water
is absolutely safe to drink and good for your health. I highly recommend that you fill your bottle and drink it during your stay here in Naggar.
