It’s a tiny bit ironic (pun intended) that Ben typically lives by the motto, “Go big or go home,” and yet his new home away from home is a pint-sized palace.
However, the first time he and his wife, Lyndsi, explored the beautiful tiny house on Forest Lake, they noticed two graceful common loons gliding across the water without a care in the world.
‘Should we do it?’ they both wondered. The house was for sale; it sure was tempting.
But Ben, a CrossFit gym owner, personal trainer, and member of the National Guard, and Lyndsi, a full-time pharmacist, and gym co-owner, live in Bakersfield, VT, atop a mountain with their two (very) young children and three (very) energetic dogs. They really didn’t have extra time to take on another endeavor—let alone one out of state.
In that exact moment, the loons’ calls echoed out over the water, and Ben and Lyndsi took it as a sign to do something what most would consider as a little...uncommon.
We hope your unique stay at The Uncommon Loon leads to many big memories and, just maybe, a little bit of magic.
