The flat is enormous, occupying two levels in the very leafy, quiet & sought after neighbourhood of Partickhill, less than 5 minutes away from Dumbarton Road & Partick train station on one side, & Hyndland train station on the other. It is about 10-15 minutes walk to Byres Road & Glasgow University. There are lots of shops, restaurants & takeaways nearby. The guest has access to the lower level where there are no other bedrooms & the very large bathroom is for the exclusive use of the guest.

Stedet
The flat is enormous, occupying two levels in a traditional sandstone tenement building (over 140 years old), located in the very leafy, quiet and sought after neighbourhood of Partickhill, nestled between Hyndland and Partick, in the West End of Glasgow. It is less than 5 minutes away from Dumbarton Road and Partick train station on one side and a couple of minutes away from Hyndland Road and Hyndland train station on the other. It is about 15 minutes walk to Byres road and Glasgow University. Our street lies between Hyndland Road and Dumbarton Road in a beautiful and exceptionally friendly neighbourhood.

The Guest has his/her own entrance at the lower level, affording considerable privacy to the guest, right next to the room which is large, warm and quiet. The room is equipped with fast fibre optic broadband (WiFi), full Virgin Media Cable tv (including Sky Movies, Sky Sports and BT Sports) and a DVD player, books and DVDs.

The guest has access to the a large, shared kitchen/dining room (we do not offer additional services like breakfast etc, but our guest is welcome to use our kitchen to prepare and eat meals) and a large private bathroom downstairs, with stand alone bath and large round shower cubicle. There is also a utility room with washer and dryer that the guest can use. The hosts have their own bathroom upstairs.

It is important to note that the upper level is private, for the exclusive use of the hosts and completely separate from the shared areas. The guest has no access to that level.

The set up of the flat affords the guest quite a lot of privacy. There are no other bedrooms on the lower floor and the guest does not share a bathroom with the hosts.

The neighbourhood is beautiful. It is an oasis of calm, with 3 parks in close proximity, trees and wildlife, but still incredibly close to all the main attractions and amenities e.g. Kelvingrove museum, Glasgow University, Byres Road, Hyndland Road, Dumbarton Road, 2 train stations and an underground station, shops, supermarkets, restaurants, the Transport museum, Science centre, etc are all within walking distance from the flat. The BBC and STV are one 5 minute train stop away from Partick train station. The West of Scotland Cricket ground is a couple of minutes away and Gartnavel Hospital is a 10 minute walk via the shortcut/path by Hyndland train station. The area is also well served by several regular bus routes, including to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, and the Veterinary School and Hospital.

The guest has access to the lower level of the flat only, which includes the shared kitchen/dining room and a very large bathroom, for the guest's exclusive use, with stand alone bath and large round shower cubicle. There is also a utility room with washer and dryer that the guest can use. The hosts have their own bathroom upstairs.

It is usually a very quiet space and the guests can come and go as they please via their own entrance.

Partick bus, train and underground stations are less than a 5 minute walk away. There are also buses also on Clarence drive, Hyndland road and Dumbarton road, all minutes away. Cycling paths leading to the countryside can be accessed nearby and Loch Lomond is a short train journey away from Partick station.

Gjestetilgang
The upper level is private, for the exclusive use of the hosts. The guest has access to the lower level of the flat only (via a separate entrance- so lots of privacy). The lower level includes the shared kitchen/dining room and a very large bathroom, for the sole use of the guest, with stand alone bath and large round shower cubicle. There is also a utility room with washer and dryer that the guest can use.

Glasgow Council guest parking permits for on street parking are available if you have a car. They cost £2 for 6 hours. Parking is free after 6:00 pm

We have two old, friendly German Shepherd dogs, but guests won’t be likely to meet them, as they do not access the lower level.

We also have 2 short-haired cats who are super cute and might show up- they spend a lot of time outside.

The neighbourhood is beautiful and quiet, with 3 parks in close proximity, trees and wildlife, green spaces on three sides of the building, but still incredibly close to all the main attractions, such as the Kelvingrove art gallery, the transport museum, science centre, Byres road, the botanic gardens, Kelvingrove park, Hyndland road, train and underground stations, supermarkets and other shops, cafes, as week as the West of Scotland Cricket grounds. Gartnavel hospital is a 10 minute walk away and we are one train stop away from Charing Cross and two trains stops away from Glasgow Queen street. The BBC and STV are one train stop and a short walk away.
