A Lake Escape is the perfect lakefront retreat located in a private oasis right off the Sevierville side of Douglas Lake. Escape with the family where your kids can run and play or bring your friends out for a much-deserved fishing trip. Enjoy roasting marshmallows and warming up around our fire pit and enjoy our outdoor picnic area perfect for dining and spending time with family and friends!

We are also located near the Griffin Island Marina loading ramp so bring your boat, the ramp is open year round! Once you get in the water, we have a private floating dock with year round access, where you can dock your boat and enjoy one of the best fishing holes on Douglas Lake, just ask the locals!

A Lake Escape is the best of both worlds, while you are in the sweet seclusion of Douglas Lake you are just a short drive from Sevierville, the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and all the activities they offer such as Dollywood, Dollywood Splash Country, and Dolly Parton’s Stampede! We are also only about a 30 minute drive to i-40, the new Bass Pro Shop, the Smokies Baseball Stadium, the Dandridge and White Pine Golf Courses and also special events such as Shadrach’s Christmas Wonderland. The easy access to I-40 makes it convenient for the Bristol race lovers as well as you Tennessee Vol fans for the games at Neyland Stadium, or even for a day trip up to the beautiful city of Asheville, NC.

About The Water Levels:
Due to the nature of Douglas Lake being a reservoir lake the water levels fluctuate regularly. Our dock is easily movable back and forth (in season). During your stay it may be necessary for you to push or pull the dock to keep it floating.

Keep in mind, that TWA lowers the water levels in the winter months. Therefore, we cannot guarantee there will be water at the dock or in front of the cabin.

While we are pet friendly, there is an additional $100.00 non refundable pet fee per pet. Once reservation is accepted you will receive a request for the additional amount.

IMPORTANT DOUGLAS LAKE INFO (WATER LEVELS)

Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) to provide power to East Tennessee including Sevier County and parts of Kentucky as well as Recreational Opportunities for its residents & visitors to the area.

A Lake Escape is NOT responsible for conditions upon arrival resulting from weather and/or lake levels.

TVA, precipitation and weather all affect the level of Douglas Lake. During extremely dry seasons, TVA may lower the water level. We are not responsible for the water level’s effect on stationary docks, floating docks, or recreational activities such as swimming, boating or fishing.

Due to the nature of Douglas Lake being a reservoir lake the water levels fluctuate regularly. Lake Levels are NOT guaranteed. Please check TWA website for water levels.

Our dock is easily movable back and forth. During your stay it may be necessary for you to push or pull the dock to keep it floating. Again, these are easily movable and normally one person can do it themselves.

The water is typically low from the months of November through the beginning of March. Since we are in a private cove there may not be water directly in front of the cabin or to the dock.
