Escape the city for nature walks, fishing, tennis or quiet relaxation in clean fresh country air at Summerleigh Homestead, a regenerative family far in the Macedon Ranges.

Summerleigh Homestead is set in a park-like garden surrounded by old oak and native trees overlooking the majestic Deep Creek Valley.

Enjoy walks, abundent wildlife, a permanently creek and secret hideaways for quiet contemplation, a sunset picnic, or explore the many vineyards, townships and sightseeing in the local area.

Stedet
You will have your own private entrance area leading into a selfcontained 12 foot ceiling homestead bedroom with 1 x King Double (or 2 x King Singles) and an option to add up to 2 extra single beds for kids/young adults, a separate kitchenette* with breakfast seating and a large bathroom, free use of the tennis / basket-ball court, a paddock to park your horse in if you are a rider looking for an escape for you and your equine friend.

Summerleigh offers plenty of peace and quiet away from the crowds, pandemic and a 24-hour newscycle.

And if you wish, learn more about our family farm, collect eggs, feed the horses, tend to the veggie garden, check on the cattle, or learn why we are 'regenerative farmers' and what that means for your health and the future of the planet.

Just yell out and we will happily show you around. BYO gumboots :)

NB! - If you plan to being a canine friend, please contact us prior to booking to confirm suitability. We have a number of livestock (cattle, chickens, pigs, other dogs) on the property and the safety of your furry friend is important, as is the well-being of our animals.

Pets are restricted to the kitchenette and must be kept in the provided pet cage overnight.

Due to allergies, we are sadly unable to accept cats.

Gjestetilgang
You will have free access to our property during your stay, with the exception of the pool and the main part of the Homestead and the farm sheds.

Just remember we are a working farm, so make sure you close all gates after yourself, keep an eye out for livestock and in midst of summer, be watchfull for snakes.

Andre ting det er verdt å merke seg
The kitchenette is currently undergoing renovation, so whilst fully functional, it is a little rustic. Pricing reflects this inconvenience.

I’m Australian and for many years I lived between London and Jaipur, but now I am a regenerative farmer an hour north of Melbourne with my Danish husband, Jack, our two daughters India and Tayla, four dogs, two Icelandic horses, a poddy calf, a few hundred egg laying chickens and a growing herd of shorthorn cattle. We grow most of our own food or buy direct from other farmers in the Macedon Ranges, a beautiful region renowned for horses, vineyards and clean healthy food. Lucy xx
