Allandale Lodge is a heritage style BnB.
We offer self-service continental breakfast provisions for each morning of your stay.
The lodge was originally built & used as a school in 1911 & was lovingly & extensively renovated in the early 2000's.
We offer a warm & welcoming BnB, nestled on five acres of farmland, surrounded by beautiful mountains of the Mackenzie Country.
We have a comfortable, queen room for your stay with access to a relaxing living & dining area.

**We do have a second room available at Allandale Lodge. For groups of four people we can offer two bedrooms, each with a queen bed. Please check out our other listing 'Allandale Lodge - Heritage style accommodation'**

Allandale Lodge has been extensively renovated with all the comforts of a modern home. Your room has a quality bed and linen (with an electric blanket), and your own personal ensuite.

Our home has radiator heating, along with a large fireplace, ensuring you keep warm during your stay in the Mackenzie!

We offer a selection of teas, as well as Nespresso coffee making facilities for our guests, along with continental breakfast provisions for each morning of your stay. This includes toast with a selection of spreads, cereals, yoghurt, and fruit.

A cosy library/reading area with a large selection of books is available for guests to use during their stay.

Unlimited Wifi, Freeview TV, Netflix and Disney+ is available for guests to enjoy.

Please let us know if you have any ski/snow gear that will require storage during your stay. We have secure storage on-site and are happy to store your gear on your behalf.

There is no access to the kitchen for guests for cooking, etc. but we are more than happy to store perishable items for you during your stay.

Fairlie is the gateway to the Mackenzie Country. The town offers great shopping and dining, as well as a stunning golf course complete with mountain views, boating and fishing in the rivers and on Lake Opuha, hunting and hiking in the hills and in winter great skiing and fun at Mount Dobson.
We have three ski-fields within an hours drive by car.
We are 50km from Lake Tekapo, 105km to Twizel and 150km to Mount Cook Village.

Originally from Tauranga, we both knew we would eventually move to the South Island – it was just a matter of what town and what to do.

We initially visited the Mackenzie Country while on holiday in early 2019, and it's fair to say that we instantly fell in love with the region. With its breath-taking views, close-knit communities and endless activities, Mackenzie Country was where we wanted to be.

Later in the year, we made the move to Allandale Lodge near Fairlie. The history and character of the lodge had us both in awe from the first time we viewed it. Originally an old schoolhouse built c.1911, it's since been converted into a bed and breakfast where up to 4 guests can stay. Situated in a rural setting, overlooking nearby mountains, Allandale Lodge provides a place to relax and unwind.

We welcome you to Allandale Lodge Bed & Breakfast and look forward to sharing our slice of New Zealand's paradise with you during your stay.

We live in a separate wing of Allandale Lodge, and will be around during meal times as the kitchen is solely for our personal use. We will also eat our meals in the dining area.
Briar works full-time in the BnB, with Shaun working in the region so we will be available for any questions or queries you may have.
