Welcome to Liverpool! We (Happy Days) are adopted scousers. We are super-passionate about our amazing City. There is so much to discover and experience here and we want to make sure, that – staying at our lovely City Centre base in the RopeWalks – you make the most of your stay.

Stedet
We believe, that our bright, spacious, well-equipped and modern apartment caters for all needs - and are happy to sort out any other special requests you might have. Just ask. We are looking forward to hosting you soon!

Large, spacious, brilliantly located space in the amazing City Centre RopeWalks area - with one hell of a view. Modern yet homely - this apartment gives great standards of decor, facilities and comforts. The apartment benefits from two well-sized bedrooms (one en-suite, both with comfortable double beds and ample storage space). The living room is spacious, with big windows and a lovely balcony. It also has a luxury comfy couch to relax on and watch TV on the large flatscreen TV (incl. DVD player and Freeview). You can also choose to watch a selection of modern classic DVDs! There is also a table and chairs, to have your breakfast/ dinner, if you want to get some work done or enjoy some fresh air near the balcony doors. The modern kitchen, which is fully fitted with integrated appliances such as fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and oven (plus microwave, kettle and toaster) also benefits from all the crockery, glasses, cutlery and pans you will need. The modern master bathroom also benefits from having a power-shower.

The apartment is all yours. Depending on what you plan to do, we can also help with getting access to Sports events, Clubs/ Bars, local recommended hairdresser, etc. (additional fees might apply).

As much as we are available at all times for any questions/ issues before, during and after your stay, we realise that privacy is an important aspect when staying away from home - so we operate very a much 'leave you to it' policy (unless you need us of course!).

The Ropewalks area is located within Liverpool’s Riverside Ward to the South of the City Centre. It is the independent heart of Liverpool - right between the docks, LiverpoolOne, the Chinese Quarter and Cathedrals.

The land rises gently from the Liverpool One development at Hanover Street up towards Berry Street and Liverpool’s Chinatown along roads that have taken their form from the ‘roperies’ that were founded to service the shipping industry following the creation of the world’s rst commercial ‘Wet-Dock’, designed by Thomas Steers, on land reclaimed from the former Pool in (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) ‘Ropewalks’ is synonymous with the Duke Street Conservation Area, Liverpool’s Georgian Merchant’s Quarter. Conservation area designation in (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) has enabled Liverpool City Council to protect this area of the city that has its origins in the early 18th Century growth of Liverpool associated with Britain’s expansion as a colonial trading power and the early period of the industrial revolution.
By the mid nineteenth century the ‘Old Dock’ had been reclaimed and the focus of the city’s growth had moved elsewhere. As a result the townscape of Ropewalks is distinct from the shire counties and elds that preceded the construction of the ‘Old Dock’ and the Victorian development within Liverpool that post-date it. The area’s international importance has warranted inclusion in the UNESCO Liverpool – Maritime Mercantile City World Heritage Site (area 6 – “Lower Duke Street”).
Ropewalks today contains a mixture of late 18th and early 19th century merchants houses, counting houses and warehouses (early merchant’s dwellings often physically linked with their warehouses, reecting a dual residential and commercial function), along with later 19th century and early 20th century low-grade commercial and industrial adaptation and redevelopment. The area encompasses one of the City’s major retail streets in the form of Bold Street, is home to a number of businesses in the creative industries, has a ourishing nightlife and includes Liverpool’s vibrant Chinatown that developed in the area from the (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) s.
There are currently 102 individual listed buildings within Ropewalks. Over the last 15 years there have been new developments for mixed-use and apartment buildings; a multi-million pound lm and creative technology centre (FACT) and grant aided schemes to restore architectural features and bring historic oorspace back into use as shops, offices, hotel and living accommodation.
Much of the warehousing within Ropewalks has been brought back into use through the Lower Duke Street Townscape Heritage Initiative (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) and is now inhabited through mixed uses of apartments, offices and restaurants. The Liverpool: World Heritage Site THI (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) Present) is in the process of bringing back into use many of the buildings that are most ‘at risk’ within Ropewalks.

As part of the quoted price for your booking, we obviously provide freshly cleaned bedding and towels. We also put some milk in the fridge to get you going once checked in and can also provide electricity adapters for our guests from abroad. All included. If you have got any special requirements, please don't hesitate to ask us in advance.

How to get around? Simple... Just walk! For Lime Street though, we'd suggest a taxi (Delta Taxis are a local firm you can choose). There are only few places, which you cannot comfortably reach by foot.

Welcome to Liverpool! We (Joanna & Peter) are adopted scousers, having lived here for many years and being involved in our local community. We are super-passionate about our amazing City. There is so much to discover and experience here and we want to make sure, that – staying at our lovely City Centre apartment as a base – you make the most of your stay. Culture, Sport, Business or a Family trip...whatever it is, we are sure, that you will enjoy the superb City Centre location and quality of our place and we are more than happy to help you with whatever you need to make your stay super-special. We love to travel and meet new people ourselves and Airbnb is a great platform allowing us to do so. We have discovered many parts of Europe using AirBnB ourselves and have always (!) had great experiences. We will make sure, that your experience will also be a great one! As much as we are available at all times for any questions/ issues before, during and after your stay, we realise that privacy is an important aspect when staying away from home - so we operate very a much 'leave you to it' policy (unless you need us of course!). If you have any questions, please don’t be shy and get in touch: We love to help. We look forward to giving you a warm (adopted) 'Scouse' welcome to our City!
