Want guaranteed satisfaction?

This is what our guests had to say...

Apple was THE most amazing host ever; absolutely the best experience my friends and I have ever had with housing on airbnb.

She helped us find a cab from the airport, greeted us at her house with snacks and tips for what to do, responded promptly within the hour when we had some issue with the water heater and in general whenever we had questions, left us trinkets and snacks she thought we would like throughout our stay, and the list just goes on and on!

Her house is tucked into a little corner about 3 minutes walk away from the main road so it's nice and quiet while still being close enough to the hub of the action. All in all, we can't thank Apple enough for her hospitality during our 1 week stay and we hope to come back soon! Thank you Apple!!

"Honestly I don't even want to share exactly how amazing our host is for fear that it would hold her to that same standard. I can't imagine her doing that for everyone. Our experience there was amazing and a good deal of it was due strictly to our wonderful host. This is a great location and I fully intend to come back to this exact spot in a couple months. You won't go wrong with this decision. I speak for three by the way and we all agree this was a top notch place!"

We have recommendations of what to do/see New Year's afternoon and evening, or during any other time.

There special events for New Year's eve. We are also able to recommend fun and interesting things to see and do in Chiang Mai that the typical tourist would likely miss because they are not in the guide books but would also give us an authentic understanding of the culture and the city.

============ Special Events and cultural Festivals in Chiang Mai 2019 and 2020==========

Songkran-The Traditional Thai New Year (13 to 15 April 2019)
Songkran was introduced to Thailand by Burmese invaders and wandering hill tribes and has since become Chiang Mai’s biggest and brightest celebration! This phenomenally popular event is celebrated with infectious enthusiasm. The streets become a rain storm as thousands of litres of water are squirted and poured over everyone attending to celebrate the traditional Northern Thai New Year. Both locals and guests drench each other in water as a symbol of good health and fortune in the upcoming year. The celebrations extend to all the city temples, particularly Temple Wat Phra Singh, which is the destination for a huge procession. Wat Phra Singh holds more restrained Songkran rituals.

If attending, wear clothes you don’t mind getting wet and put your phone and camera in a waterproof bag. Buy a water pistol and join in the fun!

Poy Sang Long (Poy Luang) (April 2019)
Poy Sang Long is a religious festival that takes place, usually, in April. It is a three-day ordination ceremony where novice monks from Temple Wat Pa Pao, Temple Wat Ku Tao and Temple Wat Srisuphan dress in make-up and elaborate costumes to represent Buddha’s early life as a pampered prince.

Inthakhin Festival (May 2019)
This religious festival is held in mid-May at Temple Wat Chedi Luang and is an important time for the city. The festival is an eight day event held to give offerings to the city’s guardian deity who resides in the city’s pillar. Many centuries ago Chiang Mai fell on hard times and once the city regained strength, many believed their trouble stemmed from the guardian spirits not being pleased. People will lay flowers and light candles along with other activities to ensure that the monsoon rains will arrive on time.

Loy Krathong Festival 2019 Chiang Mai Thailand (Wednesday 13th of November 2019)

Loy Krathong (also known as Loy Kratong, Loi Kratong, or Yee Peng) is the most famous festival in Chiang Mai, Thailand. This very colorful festival is held every year on the full moon of the twelfth month in the Thai Lunar Calendar. People gather along the Mae Ping river to launch small boats in the shape of lotus flowers and release thousands of illuminated Tai lanterns into the sky to honor the spirit of the river.

Bua Tong Blossom Festival (1 November to 10 December 2019)
Every year the Dok Bua Tong (a wild sunflower) blooms over the hills and valleys of Mae Hong Son making them bright gold in color. To celebrate the amazing natural sight, the Bua Tong Blossom Festival takes place. Along with the flowers, people can enjoy the local area with restaurants and attractions including air balloon rides for those who want to view the flowers from a higher place.

------ Reviews---------
This is what our other guests had to say about our comprehensive introduction to the area and the maps and the comprehensive guide books that we provide.

Great house, great hosts, great location and an amazing city. The house is located in a quiet cul-de-sac just outside the North Gate of the city. If you don't fancy the pleasant walk into the main areas then tuk tuks and red taxi's are readily available. 7/11's are close at hand as well as a very reasonable and friendly launderette. If you need a supermarket that offers a lot more in the way of fresh produce and 'Western' brands then head to Rimping in the Maya shopping centre ... 30 minute walk or 10 minutes in a tuk tuk. Good quality street food is available by the North Gate (3 minutes walk), in abundance, from about 17:00 and is popular with the locals. The North Gate Jazz café became something of a 'local'. Great music, reasonable prices and always a good crowd. Get there before 9pm if you want a good seat. Other places frequented on a regular basis were the Writers Club (15 minute walk), Johns Place (20 minute walk) and for a special night out, Le Teak (25 minute walk). I stayed a month and had no issues with the house. I was pleasantly surprised how cheap this was considering the amount of time I actually spent in the house. All the rooms are very large and the house benefits from both a balcony and a patio area ... great places to start the day with a coffee or two! Occasionally I was honoured by the appearance of the friendly gecko whom I nicknamed Eddie Lizard. The hosts, Apple and Jack, are such lovely people and Jack in particular provided useful, informative and interesting facts and advice not just about Chiang Mai but pretty much everywhere!!! . Response time to any queries was excellent. I have fallen in love with this city and when I come back, I will be sure to stay here again. Thanks Apple and Jack for making me feel very welcome.
--Robert Begg From the UK (stayed for 1 Month!)

“Hosts were extremely helpful and welcoming.. They spoke with the taxi driver on getting to the location from the airport and offered great suggestions for things to do, etc... very, very nice people. It is a big space, very roomy. Great A/C”
--Alex (USA)

“It was probably our best airbnb experince. Apple was a great host! Very prompt to answer messages. She helped guide our taxi driver to the residence (which would have been very difficult without her!). The place is HUGE and could easily host a lot of people. The place was clean and as described. We really loved this place. Great location in the old city near the Northgate! Tucked away and private but close to the action. We will definitely come back here the next time we are in Chiang Mai”
--Kris (USA)

Apple the host is incredibly helpful and gives instructions and hints on how to get around the city. She was a wonderful host, and the house was very clean, spacious, and felt safe. I would definitely recommend this location to any of my friends.
--Julia (USA)

Pacharaporn's house is very spacious and comfortable. Both her and Jack were extremely helpful with directions to their place and offering their own extensive knowledge of the sights and activities for visitors to Chiang Mai. The two bedrooms are massive and the location is perfect for an authentic Thai experience. Both Kirti and myself enjoyed our stay very much at this house and we wish we could have stayed longer. The hosts are very considerate and responsive to the personal requirements of their guests.
--Anthony (Australia)

The house was very big and right next to the moat. It was very easy to get around the city from this great location! Apple and her partner were there to meet me as soon as I got to the house and were very friendly. Would book again for sure!
--Michael(USA)

Apple was a very considerate host and she and her partner made us feel very welcome from the start. The house is very roomy and everything works well - fast Internet, air conditioning, hot water, and a bath! And the area is very convenient but amazingly quiet. We had a great stay and overall Apple's place is excellent value. We hope to come back again!
--Carmen(Australia, stayed for 1 Month!)

Hi, I'm Pacharaporn, but I prefer to be called by my nickname, Apple. I was born in Bangkok, I fell in love with Chiang Mai a long time ago, so I live here in Chiang Mai, which reminds me of Paris!. I started letting my house to satisfy a need in the travel and digital nomad market, since no one was looking after the travellers who wanted to rent a house and live like a local for a short period of time in Chiang Mai, without having to sign a very long term contract (of 6 months or more), . this is especially true with online workers (digital nomads) because Chiang Mai is the digital hub of south east asia. . Compared to the choice of staying at a Hostel or a Hotel room We offer the best of both worlds with a fully customised local experience with full access to Free unlimited Internet.. my aim is to help you enjoy and integrate with the local way of life even on your short stay. SO I try to convey my local knowledge in an express form so that you get the full local experience. Especially the ones that all the guide books have missed. For example there is a restaurant just 2 minutes walk from my home where they do meals which originated from persia, but now are integrated in to the Chiang Mai local cuisine, but it's still a secret to all guide books! But not to local celebrities and the ones in the know. What's even more amazing is the cost, less than a US dollar!!!. the best local restaurants, the world famous vegetarian restaurants., the best local markets to source fresh fruit and to explore the wide variety of exotic local fruit and vegetables. Amazingly not many tourists have been to these! even though they are open 24 hours!. I also love Yoga, so I have tried different forms, and I have first hand knowledge of which schools are the best and which ones should be avoided. Again the surprising fact is the heavily marketed ones are not the best schools!. I have been trained as a traditional massage practitioner at the foremost school of massage in bangkok. This helps me to recommended massage course and the best massage places to have a massage.. One of my favourite things in Chiang Mai is discovering how to travel for free, I have discovered ways to explore large parts of the city without having to pay a penny and in the comfort of a taxi! All For free. How to avoid tourist traps, and see places not many tourists have been to. my house provides you STABLE, HIGH-SPEED LAN and WiFi Internet at 10 Mbps , TV, house is fully air conditioned, all the rooms and the sitting room as well. working desk/ breakfast table, large lounge area, Western style toilets, Western style kitchen with microwave, gas cooker with 2 hobs, coffee maker, among other basics all travellers would ever need.. my house is is in the City. Close to the famous north gate jazz club of Chiang Mai, and the tourist centre, but is located in a very quite area in a Thai neighbourhood. We are bi lingual (actually we speak several other languages as well, like Bahasa Malaysia etc)and have a strong working knowledge of Chiang Mai for example if you want to get in touch with the digital nomad scene in Chiang Mai, we can make introductions to lots of friends who call Chiang Mai, their home and work online. We're always looking forward to meeting people like you, whether it's a short 2 days holiday or a 3 months vacation. Above all I am here to help! Apple
