Bryn Ffynnon is a charming end of terrace stone house in the pretty hamlet of Nantmor in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park.

Peaceful location, mountain views, the Welsh Highland Railway, access to the hills and coast and wonderful walks from the doorstep are just some of the reasons why visitors are attracted to this area.

The house is ideally suited to couples and families with older children.

Stedet
Bryn Ffynnon has a traditional cosy and comfortable feel, yet features a generous living space with painted beams, original slate floor, modern log burner, lovely garden/breakfast room and delightful enclosed garden with patio and seating.

Upstairs the pretty front bedrooms both have mountain views and the rear bedroom has views over the gardens. The single bedroom has a 2' 6" narrow bed (small single).

The large luxury bathroom features a stand-alone bath plus a large walk-in shower.

The kitchen is well equipped with everything you should need for your stay including a large Rangemaster electric cooker, fridge, microwave, toaster, slow cooker and the usual array of utensils. The kitchen looks out into the garden room where you can choose to breakfast in order to enjoy the garden and watch the birds.

Step out onto the patio and you will see the mighty Moel Hebog stretching out towards Beddgelert. The garden is enclosed and is the perfect place in which to relax, read, enjoy a drink or just to sit in the sun. It features a central arbor which is covered in scented roses during the summer.

In the evenings relax in the comfortable living area or around the large farmhouse table over a meal, reflecting on your day's excursions and activities or planning for the next. On chillier nights put your feet up in front of the log burner with a nightcap.

On a clear night grab a torch and stroll up the lane to gaze at the stars, it's quite magical, with only the gentle noise of the mountain stream and the occasional owl for company!

Beliggenhet

Nantmor, Cymru, Storbritannia

Nantmor nestles in the hills a stone's throw from the picturesque Aberglaslyn Pass, a short drive or scenic riverside walk to the popular village of Beddgelert.

A small, peaceful, friendly community, Nantmor is an all year round destination, each season offering an amazing variety of possibilities to the visitor. The scenery is spectacular and the location is peaceful.

The Welsh Highland Railway pauses at Nantmor Halt on its way to Caernarfon from Porthmadog, taking visitors and enthusiasts on a spectacular journey through forest and mountain scenery. The familiar sound of the train as it approaches can be heard from the garden and always raises a smile!

The whole area is a walkers'/climbers' delight, offering a variety of challenges from the Fishermans' Path, Cwm Bychan, Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa), Moel Hebog and Cnicht (the Welsh Matterhorn) to name but a few.

Beddgelert is a charming village just over a mile away offering an array of quality eating/drinking establishments, craft shops, award-winning ice cream parlour, post office/stores and visitor & information centre. Situated at the confluence of the river Glaslyn and the Colwyn and with the backdrop of the mountains Beddgelert must be one of the prettiest locations in this part of Wales.

Porthmadog is just 6 miles away with its wealth of shops, harbour, stations and museums.

Close by, visitors can explore underground at Sygun Copper Mine, climb Snowdon via the Watkin Path (Rangers' and Rhyd Ddu Path within short drive), visit the lovely gardens at Plas Brondanw, the RSPB Osprey project, Portmeirion Italianate village, Black Rock Sands, Criccieth castle and beach and much much more.

Hello everyone! I'm a retired library assistant, married to Tim, who has also now recently retired. Our love for Snowdonia began after our very first holiday here with our two sons over 30 years ago! It is a very special part of Wales, a magical place that kept us coming back each year with always somewhere new to discover. We are truly fortunate to be able to now enjoy spending time between Shropshire and our beautiful Snowdonia.
