The name of this inn is "KUMANOYA"

Stay here if you want to enjoy Japanese-style living.

This area is not a tourist destination.
That's why you can experience everyday life in Japan.

Tatami, green tea, kotatsu (winter only), you can experience this kind of Japanese life as if you were living in your own home.

The Oi River flows in front of the inn. A beautiful blue-green river.

Old trains and steam locomotives run along the river every day.

You will be able to enjoy a very relaxing time.

Stedet
This inn is a 90 year old wooden house.
Build a house using a winding tree. We do not use metal, and make up only with tree. This is a very difficult technique.
Few carpenters have the skills to build such a house.
That's why such a house is precious, and the Japanese want to protect this old house.

What you can experience in a day.
・ Experience the smell of tatami mats and old houses
・ Sleep mattress (FUTON) on tatami
・ Cook rice with rice cooker
・ Take off your shoes, relax and eat
・ Enjoy fresh green tea
・ Enjoy the warmth of a kotatsu (Japanese heating desk) (winter only)

What you can experience by staying for several days.
・ Learn how to add green tea yourself
・ Get on a steam locomotive
・ Fishing on the Oi River
・ Eat home cooking of grandma in the countryside
・ Cross the suspension bridge
・ Experience Paragliding
・ Experience kayaking
・wear Kimono
・ Visit to the soy sauce factory
・ Climb the mountain where you can see Mt. Fuji (HAKKO mountain)

There are two ways to get here.
①By car
②By train

When you come by train, you can enjoy the Oigawa Railway.
Old trains run very slowly along the Oi River.
The Oi River has very beautiful blue-green water.
And the view of the big and winding river is interesting.
The railway runs through many tunnels and passes through many unmanned stations.
You will be very relaxed and enjoyable.

I am a family of three with my husband and son (5 years old). I like old things with a story and started an inn in an old private house. I love small but warm shops and people who don't decorate along the Oi River. The inn is run by me alone. We only meet guests at check-in. If you are wondering where to go for sightseeing or restaurants, please contact us at check-in. Introducing the perfect place for you. I'm not good at English, so it's difficult to communicate with you, but you can speak using a translation app. It is my pleasure to meet foreign guests.

Under oppholdet ditt

I live a little away. So I can't help you right away, but I would like to help many things if you consult in advance. Picking up at the station by car, buying food, etc.
