I am a native Japanese. I married my husband Thomas 10 years ago in Tokyo where he was working. We relocated to the Big Island, Hawaii in 2009 and bought a first home in 2012. Thomas is from the East Coast and moved to Hawaii after his education at Columbia University, NYC. At age 21-22 he built the biggest wind harp in the world on a hill in Vermont. An Aeolian harp, 30 feet tall. He is a writer/editor/journalist and landscape architect for many years and has traveled and worked in 27 countries. I am also well educated, Aoyama Gakuin University. I founded and ran two businesses in Tokyo...a European home furnishings store and a university prep school. I am also a professional translator. I am trilingual, Japanese/English/Spanish and Thomas speaks French and Spanish and English. We are happy, cheerful, friendly and always look for the positive side of things. We love Hawaii and have done room rentals before both in Tokyo and Hawaii, and take joy in making guests happy and comfortable. I live in Waikoloa Village because I love the ocean. We have Hapuna Beach nearby, world-famous white sand beach...and a few secret smaller ones... where we go when we have time. I also shop at Farmers' Markets for local fresh organic foods and organic garden at home. I like knitting and music. Thomas loves the Asia and Asian culture, but like me, enjoys the year-round sunshine, warm weather of Hawaii. He is always busy editing or researching... He took me to the East Coast last summer and we traveled all over New England...from New York City to Boston, New Hampshire, Vermont and the Adirondack Mts where he was born. The most fun was visiting Woodstock, NY where he grew up. It was so "groovyl," "far out"..The Adirondacks were also amazingly beautiful He spent summers there, in the heart of the ADK and we canoed up a huge lake where he used to camp with relatives. Look forward to seeing you, Kana Nozawa..
