In a quite beautiful and peaceful spot, close to some of the most spectacular sections of Cornwalls north coast, The Old Cider House is a luxurious conversion providing spacious accommodation for a couple with the added advantage of a lovely private garden.

Stedet
Located next door to the owner's farmhouse, this delightful conversion has just been completed and offers a truly peaceful place to stay in the North Cornwall area. It is a real treat for couples seeking romantic heaven. A spacious living room is made extra cosy by a traditional log burner sitting in the large inglenook fireplace and the sumptuous leather sofas. Upstairs the beautifully presented bedroom has french windows opening to a charming Juliet balcony from which guests will be treated to bird song from the neighbouring orchard. Outside you can enjoy a morning coffee on the patio or sunbathe in the private south facing garden. The Old Cider House is definitely a place to relax, unwind and revive the spirits. This stunning part of north Cornwall will delight visitors seeking an area of historical interest, beautiful scenery, spectacular walks and a warm Cornish welcome. The famous villages of Boscastle and Port Isaac are both within a short drive and there is nowhere more historic in Cornwall than Tintagel for those fascinated by Arthurian legends. Sandy beaches at Crackington and nearby Widemouth Bay are both great for surfing, but if you fancy a great escape, try the Strangles beach, often quiet even in the height of summer because of a steep path down the cliff. This area is a walker's paradise with some of the most dramatic (and challenging) sections of the south west coastal path from Port Isaac all the way up to Widemouth. Alternatively the wilds of Bodmin Moor are not too distant where you can scale the famous tors of Roughtor or Cornwall's highest point, Brown Willy.AccommodationGround Floor: The beautiful stable door opens into the spacious living room with leather sofas, inglenook fireplace and dining table with lovely wood flooring. A fully fitted kitchen looks out over the garden and the rolling fields beyond.First Floor: Upstairs is the delightful double bedroom with 5' double bed, pastel bed linen and large wardrobes. The gorgeous french windows open to the Juliet balcony and the skylights mean this is a light and airy bedroom in the warmer months, but with the open stairs and a roaring wood-burner, a gorgeous cosy place in winter. A well fitted bathroom adjoins with a bath and over bath shower.Exterior: A small patio is available immediately to the outside of the front door and the garden extends around the house. There is an outside table and a BBQ is available.Facilities & Services Heating is via an air source heat pump and the wood burning stove. The kitchen has a range of modern equipment. There is an electric oven and hob, a microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge with freezer compartment and dishwasher. The sitting room has a flat screen digital TV & SMART Blue-ray DVD player with Netflix, a CD & Radio. There is Superfast Wi-Fi at the property. Crackington Haven, Storbritannia

Between Bodmin and Bude, Crackington Haven lies a few miles from Boscastle and boasts a spectacular beach with some of the best surf in the county. A popular pub, a couple of charming tea rooms and a lovely woodland and coastal walk are also excellent reasons for a visit. Crackington Haven is on one of the most dramatic stretches of coastline in North Cornwall. The village itself is located in a very narrow valley with steep sides leading to a beach where beautiful sand is exposed at low tide. The beach is popular with surfers and the surrounding coastline is a huge draw for walkers. The cliffs are not only dramatic, but are also geologically fascinating. Immediately north of the beach is Pencarrow Point and a few hundred yards south is Cambeak headland. One mile south of Crackington Haven, High Cliff rises to 735 feet (224 m) with a sheer drop to the rocky foreshore. The surrounding area has beautiful countryside and nearby Bude has a full range of shops, pubs & restaurants. There are a whole range of beaches within a few miles drive along the coast as well. The landscape rises dramatically to the south onto the moors with more superb walking to be had - it really is a lovely place to visit and explore!Boscastle is one of the most picturesque villages in Cornwall, with a tiny natural port and coastal paths passing through superb unspoilt countryside, much of it owned by the National Trust. Browse the shops and enjoy some refreshment at one of many charming cafes in the village. Boscastle, situated on rugged North Coast of Cornwall, has an incredibly picturesque tiny natural port. Once a thriving port at the base of a ravine serving North Cornwall, the village now survives on its tourism industry. Unfortunately, the disastrous floods of 2004 damaged some historic properties, but Boscastle is most definitely up and running again now. The Witchcraft Museum, which re-opened in 2005, houses an extensive collection of related artefacts including a Dutch collection donated to the museum in 2000. There are many gift shops and cafe's in the village, as well as a pottery, with amazing coastal walks and views to each side of the valley. On the north side of the harbour at Penally Point is a natural blow hole, which at low tides with enough swell sends plumes of water high into the air. There is a fabulous 7 mile walk between Boscastle and Crackington Haven which is extremely popular, although it is quite a testing length of coastline. Many sites of interest surround Boscastle with lots to explore. Nearby Tintagel and a ruined castle heralds myths of King Arthur, with Camelford rumoured to be Camelot of old.Widemouth Bay is a varied and interesting beach with a long open bay. At the northerly end of Widemouth there is a large sandy area that becomes more exposed as the tide drops and to either side of this the sand gives way to some fantastic rock formations. The beach is ideal for families, whether you wish to swim, sunbathe, surf or hunt for marine life in the hundreds of rock pools. Lifeguards are present during the season. These are some of the best beaches in Cornwall so don't miss the chance to try your surfing or 'boogie' boarding skils. There are a number of surf schools in the area. For Walkers and Cyclists the area is full of superb routes and Bude lies at the centre of the most dramatic stretch of the South West coastal footpath. There are numerous local villages and landmarks to explore and much of the area ia a nature lovers paradise.Bude is a popular resort for families and surfers, boasting spectacular sandy beaches and some of the best waves in the county. The town, located close to the border with Devon, is filled with shops, restaurants, pubs and even a local theatre. Bude is Cornwall's most northern town and has been a favourite seaside resort since Victorian times. The coastal scenery surrounding the beaches of Bude are quite beautiful. There is a huge amount of bird life for the dedicated twitcher and some wonderful walks along the cliff tops. Along the coast is Sandy Mouth which is ideal for families due to its lovely sand and numerous rock pools. Morwenstow, which is a little further towards Devon is just south of Henna Cliff. The cliff is the highest in Cornwall and has a sheer drop down to the sea. From here you can see across to South Wales. The centre of Bude has a theatre, concerts, dances and fetes, as well as other events throughout the season. There is a new Visitors Centre in the Crescent car park which has an extensive display by the North Cornwall Heritage Coast and Countryside Service including a children's area. There is a weekly Cornish Furry Dance and an annual Carnival Week. Bude is also home to a popular jazz festival which takes place every year in August.
