Dette kommer dere til å gjøre

We will begin in serene Prambanan; a famous town a little ways east of Yogyakarta city.

We will star cycle from Omah Sepeda (the nort of Prambanan Temple Complex) through idyllic stretches of rice fields and little villages until we reach our first destination the local houses where we will learn the traditional ways of making one of Indonesia’s iconic foods, Tempe and Emping (melinjo cracker).

We will then continue to the photo spot with the background of beautiful Temple, Plaosan. This is a 9th century Hindu and Buddhist temple built famously as a wedding gift!

then continue our journey through the little village road until we reach the Javanese bamboo music instrument and Gamelan music instrument. We practice how to play together lead by the local people

As we enjoy the beautiful music, we will try the local food we have prepared.

On the way back we will stop in the local house to see the process of making tofu.
This marks the end of our trip, where we begin another scenic cycle back to our first meeting point.

Wulan and Alga were amazing! We had a great time experiencing the countryside of Yogyakarta, I loved that we got to have hands-on experiences, from bean crackers and brick making to playing the traditional Javanese instrument angklung. Wulan was super friendly and helpful, and I very much enjoyed the conversations we got to have with Wulan and inhabitants of the village.

This experience takes place in the shadows of the Prambanan Temple but really focuses on aspects of village life that would otherwise be very hard to gain access to. We saw firsthand cottage production of tempeh, vegetable crackers, and bricks. We learned how to play the angklung, and we rode through villages and rice fields. Despite the rain, a good way to spend the afternoon. Only note of caution: in keeping with tradition we rode slightly old-fashioned bikes without the creature comforts of the ultra-light mountain bikes we have been spoiled by.

Alga was really flexible. I was 15 mins late and he was very understanding. The bike ride is an easy ride. We went to see how certain snack and foods are made. We went over a couple of site and he knew their history pretty well, and lastly, we went over a musicians house and played with some local instruments. It was a really nice experience and one that I would recommend.

One of the best experiences during my trip in Joga - the cycling routes where picturesque with beautiful scenic rice fields, village houses and most importantly we had the chance to immerse in traditional tempe making, gamelan musical instruments and melingo crackers. What I love about this experience is that Alga involves the local villages to preserve dying traditions

Alga was extremely knowledgeable and the experience made me really connect to the rural side of jogja, bike was very smooth and we got to see how local food and snacks were made and cultural music. The best part was that there was a sense of community that we could only get with a local guide
