We offer you the experience to make your own handmade piece of lace. You will make a lace bracelet with 3 basic lace techniques. The teaching of these handmade lace techniques is almost extinct. Most lace nowadays is machinemade in China.

The lessons take place at our home, not far from the Atomium. Easily reachable by public transport from the centre (tram 3 esplanade till the last stop, then walk 700m).

This is literally the best experience! I am a crocheter and I am so interested in this kind of lace techniques. Their home is full of art pieces, so warm so sweet. I learned 3 different techniques and had great fun! My friend is not good at crafting but Lieven and his mother explained to her so patiently that she loves it as well! We received little gifts when we left and those are so beautiful! I definitely wanna come again and strongly recommend this experience to EVERYONE! Come and have fun!

Another amazing experience. I just can't get enough of lace-making. This second lesson was a little more challenging, but totally worth it at the end because the product was beautiful (at least the part the host did haha). I would definitely recommend a second lesson if you liked the first. It's such a fun and relaxing way to spend the afternoon. Just like last time, the host was extremely patient even after the 50th time I forgot to twist the end. And Leuven was an awesome host!

This was an amazing, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. It's a little bit of a learning curve in the beginning, but by the end, you feel like you've really learnt something. Then it's really fun and relaxing. The instructor was very, very kind, truly cared about her craft, and has the patience of an angle. And Lieven is an amazing interpreter. I would wholeheartedly recommend this experience to anyone who enjoys crafts. Thank you both sooooo much for this experience!

I highly recommend this workshop for everyone, especially those that are interested in the crafts. Both my mother and me we spend great 2 hours, learning a lot and seeing personal collections of laces. Great time and we will come back for sure one day!

It’s an absolutely amazing experience. My first time to make lace, it’s so beautiful and the workshop is easy for beginners. Lieven and his mom are very friendly and give me some sweet gifts:) I made my own bracelet and I think it’s a really good way to know Belgian culture. I love this workshop very much and if I have time I hope to visit them again and learn more techniques. The house is near Atomium and easy to find. Highly recommend to all people :p
