Hi, I’m Aya. I was born in Kyoto in 1967. I started to learn Tea Ceremony when I was 13 years old. Even now, I continue to learn from my own teacher. Tea ceremony is connected with other aspects of Japanese culture such as Ikebana (traditional flower arrangement) and Shodō (traditional calligraphy). It’s not just making or drinking tea.
