Hi, I’m Aya. I was born in Kyoto in 1967. I started to learn Tea Ceremony when I was 13 years old. Even after I have qualified to teach, I continue to learn from my own teacher. Tea ceremony is connected with other aspects of Japanese culture such as Ikebana (flower arrangement) and Shodō (calligraphy). It’s not just making or drinking tea. In Kyoto these days there are many tea ceremony experiences led by people unconnected with the Way of Tea. I provide this class as a licenced teacher from the Omotesenke school of tea, and as someone born, raised and living in Kyoto. My class is for people who want an authentic experience of the tea ceremony. I welcome all your questions about the Way of Tea. In my class,The capacity is 4 or less.If you have 5 people or more in your group, please contact me directly before you make a booking.
