We will proceed to the city market after the short walking/history tour to buy our ingredients. 4. A short tricycle ride will take us home where we will meet my sister chef for a home cooking and dining experience. 5. BONUS FREE KARAOKE SESSION IF YOU ARE UP FOR THE CHALLENGE!
I was born and raised in Marikina, the shoe capital of the Philippines and home of the largest shoes in the world. I am also a full time art history professor in a university in Manila with a masters degree in Art Studies, a part time traveler and a daydreamer in between. I am doing this experience with my sister who is a chef schooled in the US. We are both travelers, foodies and extroverts who are always happy to welcome new good souls in our family home. We have been hosting travelers in our home and DIY art related events to locals and foreigners. My family is passionate about sharing Filipino culture through feeding the stomach and soul of our guests. Consider yourself part of the family :)

Her skal du være
My hometown Marikina City is away from the Manila City center but this is where you will see legitimate slice of Filipino life. Historically we used to be an old Spanish colonial town turned gentrified "Little Singapore" . The city is also known to be the shoe capital of the country. *ahem to shoe-holics" We will be doing a short city tour and you will be welcomed to a homey Filipino household :) Consider yourself part of the family.
