The sanctuary is located in Campbellford, Ontario, about halfway between Peterborough and Belleville. Kat will meet you in the parking lot and begin by walking around the sanctuary. You will spend 60-75 minutes meeting all the farm residents and interacting with the ones who are feeling social that day. There are horses, potbelly pigs, babydoll sheep, goats, ducks, chickens and of course dogs and cats at the farm. Our potbelly pigs Molly and Kevin, really appreciate a good belly rub and our goats, Babe and Taco, love granola bars and cheerios. All the horses are very gentle and friendly and are always up for a good brushing or a carrot treat. You are welcome to bring carrots and apples for the animals. Weather permitting, we will take the horses and dogs for a walk through the wooded trails on the 25-acre property or have a play session with the horses in the ring. Afterward, you are invited to have tea and treats in the 1860's historic farmhouse. The total experience will last about 2 hours. Finally, we love dogs and have four of our own, but please leave yours at home.
