Wonderful experience. Lots of fun learning about the Cajun food and Creole culture. Tried foods (and made them) that we have never had before including bananas foster and LOVED flambe-ing the dessert! She worked to our individual speed as I was slower (and better....haha) than my husband! Learned three different sauces that were all great: roasted red pepper remoulade; bechamel crawfish cream sauce and a Cajun sauce for our spicy shrimp taceauxs.....Cajun style! She had the recipes for us and had us read them and do the recipe as written, answering all questions we had and giving us encouragement when needed.....come on....cleaning those little crawfish was a brand new experience for us both! Let the good times roll......great time; very nice experience....just go do it. You won't regret it! I think my husband was hesitant at first but really got into it! And more than enough food...we brought home some of the remoulade sauce and some blackened chicken! She also let you make it as spicy or as mild as you wanted it! And told us to keep tasting until it was what we wanted!! YUM! Her outdoor kitchen was beautiful to work in...now we want one!! Her mantra is fresh food and the best ingredients will always make good food!

This was a fun, unique experience. 4 students, each with our own space and tools to practice as we learned. Fun, laughs and amazing food. It was a great night.

This class was incredible. The food was awesome. I learned tons of new things: how to make a roux, how to pair lots of other sauces with different ingredients, how to de shell a crawfish and (my fav) how to make bananas foster. All of the meals were from scratch. I enjoyed tasting everyone’s take in the recipe provided. They each had a unique flavor based on our preferences. We met Roy there, who we had dinner with the next night as well. Super score, we have a new friend from Israel. It was worth the drive! You should do it!

Wonderful night all around. We felt welcomed and at ease immediately and even on a chilly night had a nice fire to cook alongside. She went above and beyond by assisting with our engagement night by picking out champagne for us to enjoy with dinner.
