Old Florida awaits ~

I’ll guide us through an expansive and pristine floodplain along the historic Estero River. Along our way, I will share stories of the eclectic residents and homesteaders of Florida’s past, discuss conservation and land stewardship, profess amateur birdwatching, talk native and invasive species of plant and animal, and provide hospitality that exceeds expectations.

Our hike to the coast uncovers a variety of beautiful and productive natural habitats and nurseries for bird, fish, shellfish, and crustaceans alike. The trail is primitive with muddy footpaths. Seasonally (May - December,) there will be shallow standing water on some sections of the trail. This can lead to pesky insects on the trail so be sure not to forget bug repellent, a long sleeve shirt and pants, and sturdy shoes.

It is my passion to explore the wonders of this state and to help spread awareness of conservation and Florida history. My goal is to give you an enjoyable, educational, and eye-opening experience that you’ll never forget! If you’re ready, let’s make it happen!!

We really enjoyed our time. Zachary was very informative. He knew A LOT of the history, the birds, predators, etc… Even my 14 year old enjoyed it. We would definitely recommend his tour. It was hot so make sure to wear a long sleeve shirt, sunblock and bring repellent. :)

We had a lovely experience and learned a few new things. Peace and tranquility as you hike through the mangroves. It is weather-oriented, making sure you have a hat, lots of water, and proper shoes. It's a worthwhile adventure.
