Introduction to Wet Felting
Learn how to make felt and produce simple items such as flowers and felted soaps from the comfort of your own home. For this activity you'll need merino wool roving, available from most craft shops worldwide & online, a towel, 2 or 3 sheets of bubblewrap, warm soapy water and good internet access. You may like to bring a pair of scissors & any other interesting loose fibres that you may have, although it's not essential.
You'll be guided through the basic methods of feltmaking by Sue, an experienced Airbnb tutor www.airbnb.com/craftsininverness
Whilst learning a new skill and picking up hints and tips that you won't find anywhere else, you'll have the opportunity to connect and interact with other participants by following this relaxing, therapeutic activity.
Following this activity you'll have at least 1 completed item and the skills to start larger, more imaginative projects.

I have been running crafting workshops since 2006 and I've been a textile artist for even longer. Since 2011 I've been selling my felted landscapes at craft fairs, markets and Highland games all over Scotland. My workshops are not just about producing an end product, it's about the process, spending time with other people with a similar interest and chilling out.
