If you fancy having a go at Clay Shooting, we believe Polowood is the place to go.
We cater for people who have never shot before, along with those who have
limited experience and would like to progress further. This packages includes 25 clays, from a variety of targets with a selection of guns to try.
The session starts with a safety demonstration from our CPSA qualified
instructors. They will be on hand to offer you advice and guidance throughout.
As the sessions progress, so does the difficulty of the targets. We finish off with a completion on our paired targets.

All of our instructors are CPSA qualified.
We have additional COVID 19 safety measures in place onsite.
We cater for people who have never shot before, along with those who have

My name is Gary the owner of Polowood Shooting Ground. My father in law took me shooting when I was 20 and I've been hooked since. I am a member of the CPSA and various shooting groups. 10 years ago I was given the opportunity to run a Shooting Ground and haven't looked back since. I enjoy sharing my sport, knowledge and grounds with our guests. I have a team who help me onsite who I have been friends with for years and met through their passion for Shooting. All of our team are experienced shooters and have qualifications to be able to teach shooting to others.

Polowood Shooting Ground is set in 10 acres of farm land on the beautiful South Downs in Brighton. We are located in Falmer a five minute drive from the Amex Stadium and fifteen minutes outside of the city center.
All the team were friendly but the main man was George. He was polite, engaging, a passionate and professional teacher. He made my girlfriend and I feel at ease and very confident with the gun. The experience itself was amazing and George and the team made my girlfriends birthday extra special. She hasn't stopped talking about our day shooting ever since!

Wow what an excellent experience! The team made us feel special, they where really professional and passionate about what they do, the lesson was an amazing experience that I will never forget and I already want to return! Gary and team offer an exemplary experience and could be more focused on their trade and customers if they tried. I was extremely impressed and grateful:)

Great experience and would highly recommend. The instructor was very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome and like we were in safe hands. 25 shots was enough for us on the day because it was pouring with rain but we soldiered on and enjoyed every minute! We got a flight tyre while we were there and the owner was super helpful and helped us pump it up using his own pump. Would highly recommend and we’ll be back!
