The experience, also known as 'Forest Bathing', begins at a designated trailhead where we'll lightly introduce ourselves to each other and begin noticing the land. As we enter the forest, a prompt is given to begin to arrive and settle into the experience some more. A brief introduction to forest therapy, how it works and the health benefits of time spent in nature is given next. Information about the area and a land acknowledgement is included. Participants have the opportunity to introduce themselves more in depth in a first sharing circle before beginning to deepen and nurture nature connections.
Throughout the event, several invitations are given that make room for sensory experiences, play, discovery, relaxation, listening, exploring, presence and stillness. These invitations are unique to the participants, time of day and what the forest offers and reveals during the time of the walk.
The forest therapy walk ends with a tea ceremony, creating opportunities to enjoy local, sustainably foraged tea plants in circle with self, others and the land.
Other things to note
- This experience is child and dog friendly, please inform me to be able to adapt
- If you have any allergies or mobility issues, please let me know
- During the pandemic there are no portable toilets. Using the ‘facili-trees’ will be the only way to 'go'. I carry toilet paper and hand sanitizer with me

I grew up trilingual on 2 continents: childhood in Canada and youth / young adulthood in Germany. Missing Canada and its wild landscapes, I moved back and found home along the southern shores of Georgian Bay. My curiosity and drive to connect people with nature introduced me to the practice of Forest Therapy.
Trained through the ANFT (Association of Nature and Forest Therapy Guides and Programs) in 2019 and GIFT (Global Institute of Forest Therapy) in 2021, I offer guided Forest Therapy walks along the southern landscapes of Georgian Bay, Ontario. Nature has been my guide ever since and is now my greatest ally in offering this experience!
When I'm not guiding, I love to rock climb! Paddling, hiking and camping are also some of my favorite outdoor activities. Sometimes, even my cat tags along!

The Forest Therapy wall with Tamara was really wonderful. We brought our two kids age 11 And 13 as well- and they also really enjoyed it! It was nice to get Out of the hustle bustle of Blue Mountain Village for a few hours and do something special with the family- Tamara was such a lovely host. Highly recommended!

Es war eine wundervolle neue Erfahrung. Man kommt der Natur viel näher und es ist sehr beruhigend
