One booking = two people. Restorative Contact is a mindfulness and empathy practice that helps us to be present in the moment, in our bodies, and with the important people in our lives, including ourselves.
You’ll work with your IRL partner (don’t have one? See below) as I guide you through a floor-based sequence of touch and weight-sharing, where we slow down, invite stillness and allow the body to rest. Deep relaxation helps with anxiety, insomnia, digestion, fertility and high blood pressure. Touch boosts dopamine, serotonin and oxytocin, the hormones associated with making people feel good, and lowers cortisol levels which are associated with stress. The most popular feedback is that participants leave feeling relaxed and connected. Check out the reviews below.
For corporate groups, team-building, or other private groups I can offer an adapted practice (no IRL partner needed!) to de-stress and deepen trust and connection between individuals at a distance. Expect gentle movement to increase body-awareness plus group and partner activities to foster bonding. And if you want to throw in a bit of fun cardio, my pro-dancer self will gladly assist :)
Class is strictly non-sexual so while it's great for couples it's open to everyone (friends, family, coworkers) who believes that more care and connection is a positive thing for all.

- I recommend wearing loose, soft or otherwise comfortable clothing. Layers are good in case you get warm or cold.
- Make sure you have a padded, clean, and clutter free space (about 7'x7'). A cosy rug is ideal but foam mats or a soft blanket should also be fine.
- No props are required but you may want to have a blanket or a couple of pillows nearby just in case.
- Create the space you want to be in. How is the lighting? It does not need to be silent but relatively quiet is helpful.

I am the creator of Restorative Contact. I developed this form by synthesizing key elements of various somatic techniques including Contact Improvisation, Restorative Yoga, Tai Chi, Klein Technique, Authentic Movement, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and Deep Listening over my 18+ years as a professional dancer, choreographer and movement educator.

Wonderful experience! Really exceeded our expectations. Gabrielle was so authentic and warm. She created a safe space to explore and be present in the company of others. Gabrielle’s practice was such a unique and peaceful experience for my husband and I. We could have listened to Gabrielle’s stories, guidance and voice for much longer. She was an incredible instructor and made sure we were comfortable. It gave us a different perspective on our bodies and how to slow down & connect. I had my eye on Gabrielle's experience for a while and finally booked it as part of a Valentine's Day gift for my partner, whose love language is touch. I'm so glad I did! We both really enjoyed it and felt so relaxed throughout the session and afterwards. My partner and I have been together pretty much nonstop for the past year because of Covid quarantine, so this was a great way to connect on a deeper level and become more mindful of our time together. Gabrielle is so sweet and authentic, and her voice was very soothing. We went through a series of exercises and there was even a little talking section where we got to share what we are grateful for. My love language is words, so this definitely hit the spot for both of us ;) I've already told a handful of friends about this, and look forward to taking Gabrielle's other online experience sometime!
