Ever wondered how and when the Cliffs of Moher were discovered by visitors to Ireland? Want to know what life living at the Cliffs is like? Join me on this private discovery of the Cliffs of Moher past origins from the mid 1800’s when Cornelius O'Brien, known locally as the father of the Irish Tourism, as he was first to formally recognize the Cliffs as a tourist destination building the renowned O’Brien’s tower at the Cliffs. We share the stories of where it began at our pub, Considine’s Bar (one of Ireland’s oldest family run traditional pubs) at the Cliffs of Moher run today by 5th generation Kevin. I’ll show you the ruins of Cornelius’s estate at Birchfield from the 1700’s as we take a private walk on our family farm which hosts the iconic column erected to Cornelius’s memory from 1857, visiting the mystical St. Brigid’s Well, a holy well unlike any in Ireland, where I will retrace the pilgrims steps that are still enacted today. While there we will visit the unusual family vault where Cornelius and his descendants are buried sharing our local folklore and customs.
We check in at Moher Cottage, our local coffee and gift shop that won Best Coffee in Ireland, where you can capture that Instagram moment. After this pitstop, we finish back at Considine’s where Kevin will share what daily life is like growing up and living at the Cliffs of Moher

I will bring you on this experience and guide you through the local environs here at the Cliffs of Moher where I live.
I have a keen interest in local heritage, history, culture and all things “West of Ireland”. Nothing nicer than meeting people from all over the work every day in our little corner of Ireland on the Atlantic ocean.
With my husband Kevin we run his >150 year old family traditional pub Considine's Bar and now run Moher Cottage, our gift and coffee shop, which was our old cowshed and pigsty on our farm that we renovated in 2017. I'm so proud of it and my mission to make it the best little shop in Ireland.
I'm also a business strategist who studied engineering, earned an MBA, and worked in IT and wind energy. But still, the most important thing for me is to provide a shining example of warm Irish hospitality to all we mee
