Dette kommer dere til å gjøre

We will meet outside Java House on Mama Ngina St in Nairobi CBD, and drive together to Ruaka Town (around 30 minutes), where we will stop and collect our freshly prepared picnic. At this stop you will have a chance to see the bustling town on Nairobi's outskirts, meet the people providing us our delicious food and drink, and purchase many fresh fruits in the local fruit and vegetable market if you would like. After we have collected our picnic, we will continue our drive to the tea farm (around 25 minutes). When we arrive, we will have a tour by one of the workers on the farm and you will have a chance to learn about tea farming and how this family business operates. We will then enjoy our picnic lunch of traditional Kenyan foods including ugali, chapati, ndengu and mandazi, as well as some of our homemade Kenyan tea. You will then have a chance to explore the tea plantations and the beautiful gardens on the property before we head back to drop you in Nairobi at Java House again.

We are two friends living in Nairobi and we would love to offer our favorite places and experiences to others. The tea plantation is an ideal place to visit since the region enjoys the perfect climate and rainfall levels that are needed for year-round tea cultivation, a factor that greatly contributes to Kenya’s position as the third largest tea producer in the world.I am Farida, a Kenyan entrepreneur and my co host,Rhiannon , (https://www.airbnb.com/users/show/10376411) is Australian who has been in Kenya for over 10 years and is a local tour guide .We have explored and thus we are quite knowledgeable about private, beautiful and unique places around Nairobi . This tea farm is owned by family friends and is a special place to learn about tea farming and enjoy a Kenyan lunch, tea and treats made by our friends in local business.
