We will start the class tasting a variety of fermented foods I've made right here in my own kitchen, including several types of kimchi and sauerkraut, plant based yoghurt and/or cream cheese and/or blue cheese, sourdough bread, kombucha, kefir, and whatever else I've bubbled up that week!

While you feast on this spread I will tell you all about the ins and outs of the fermentation process, learned from my hours and years of research and experimentation. I truly can't wait to answer any questions you might have ... I am whole heartedly in LOVE with fermenting.

Then, after you've had a good try of everything, you simply tell me what your favourites are ... and I teach you how to make them!

Wine and beer (or a nice herbal tea) plus good music, great conversation, and real learning -- these are the best companions the plants and their happy microbes could ask for.

So, please, come and take in what I believe is invaluable knowledge, and make new friends -- both big and very ... very ... very small!

An architect by profession, I recently returned to Budapest after 8 years of living in Paris and New York. Here I've opened an art and community space and started a permaculture farm with my New Zealander husband.

Learning from my grandmother, and to help my single mother, I've been making dishes for my family since I was 12 years old -- and now consider cooking to be one of the highest forms of art! The everyday necessity of eating also offers countless opportunities for creating magic moments.

I gave up a carnivorous diet long ago, yet I never gave up on a food life that was diverse and robust -- so I began a journey. And now I am so excited to share with you what I have learned (through much trial and error!), and spread my passion for the richness and complexity that I find in the world of plant based cooking and eating.

I welcome you to our art space. Here we host exhibitions, theatre performances, dinners, readings, local meetings...

The space is furnished with the antique furniture that has been in my family for over 50 years, but it's arranged with a lot of little, arty twists, to go along with the bright blue floor, chairs up on the wal, and home-made kitchen.

It feels both like a cozy home and dynamic venue, making the space alone enough for a visit.
