The Naramata Bench is less than 20km (12 miles) long, but has over 40 wineries at last count. This makes the Naramata Bench one of the few places in the world where you can actually walk easily between wineries. Join us as we walk along the Kettle Valley Railway trail (an easy downhill gravel path) and stop at five boutique wineries for tastings.

While my partner and I share knowledge about the wine region and local history, we will all enjoy the beautiful vineyard and Okanagan Lake views, walk over the McCulloch trestle and also see the 'Hollywood'-style Penticton sign. The tour will end in Penticton.

Total walking distance is up to 9km.

I am co-founder of the outdoor adventure blog, Off Track Travel. We specialise in sharing underrated destinations in Canada - Penticton is definitely one of these places and the reason why we base ourselves here. In 2017, we published the 'Wine Lover's Guide to the Naramata Bench' eBook after visiting each and every winery (40+). Before joining the blogging world, I managed an outdoor equipment store, became a trained chef and also drove bus tours around Eastern Canada.

Her skal du være

We will meet at a boutique winery with a gorgeous view of Okanagan Lake and have an outside wine tasting (weather permitting). Afterwards, we will start walking downhill on the Kettle Valley Railway trail, stopping to visit four more wineries on the way to Penticton. We'll tell you about important landmarks (and some of our favourite local places) along the way such as Munson Mountain and the McCullough Trestle.
