Speak about first love,I learnt tourism at high school and being brought up with humanity that made me to not treat strangers as strangers but treat them more as friends.I love meeting and learn about different people's culture it can be local/international.I have worked in an office before,it worked out for about two years. It didn't feel right,Then on my birthday i got Mr Nelson Mandela's book as a gift.I read it through and wanted to have a full idea about the story so i visited Mandela house to connect the dots but on that day that when everything change for me and i started giving historical tours at Mandela house,I also got a privilege to work with OnedaySoweto.from that my love for tourism has made me enjoy sharing the history and present lifestyle of Soweto. I live for the love of the historical tours in South Africa and Soweto.

It was a great tour! I chose Neliswa’s tour, despite not seeing any reviews because of her very personal description and that she was able to confirm my request for an afternoon tour right away. And I was not disappointed - I had to move my tour time by two hours due to wrong flight timing and bad traffic but Neliswa and Alberica waited patiently for us. The tour was exactly how it is described in the description, Neliswa and Alberica know a lot of details with regards to the history and current circumstances of the neighborhood. We learned a great deal of Soweto which was very different (positive) than the image we had. People were greeting us friendly (I guess they normally don’t see Asian...) people were playing and laughing on the street - much more communal than some of the big cities. We managed to call a local taxi with sign language which was really cool! We also felt very safe with Neliswa and Alberica as they were greeting many people in the neighborhoods signaling that they are very known by people so no one would do as harm. The only regret we had is that we were not able to visit the houses and speak to the locals in because we started the tour too late and our tour guides were concerned about our safety. All in all, we really enjoyed this tour and would recommend to anyone.
