You didn’t come to the Blue Mountains to see the inside of a bus did you? Get right into the heart of it on this action-filled day hike in the beautiful World Heritage National Park. Walk along trails visited only by locals, with an award-winning guide who will share stories and fascinating facts that you won't learn on any other tour.

You’ll also have the opportunity to ride out of the valley in style on the World’s steepest train – backwards!

Say goodbye to sad, soggy sandwiches. Instead, enjoy morning tea in the forest, with a selection of Australian native teas, fresh bush coffee and locally-made chocolate cookies. At lunch time, we can savour a gourmet picnic platter of cheese and deli meats, artisan crackers, freshly baked sourdough bread and other local products from the Blue Mountains region, made fresh, just for you.

This tour is perfect for anyone who wants a locally guided experience, away from the crowds and amongst the beautiful nature that made the Blue Mountains so famous!

My name is Sara and I am an experienced hiking guide. I spent almost two years training and working in the Tasmanian wilderness, before returning to my home town of Sydney, to show off the spectacular World Heritage listed Blue Mountains.

Due to the nature of our lives, most of us are quite disconnected from nature, but I'm dedicated to sharing my passion and knowledge to help rebuild that connection for people. Nothing gives me greater joy than experiencing the wonder on people's faces when I explain a fact about a plant, or teach them how to identify a specific bird call - it's these moments that stay with people and fill their hearts.

I want to show off the beauty of the Australian bush, and help people immerse themselves in the wilderness...and I tell really fabulous (terrible) dad-jokes to keep you laughing the entire time!

Flere tips

The Blue Mountains really should be called the Blue Valleys, because you always start up high and go down! This is a decent day walk, and a reasonable level of fitness is required to complete the track. Guests can expect to be walking for approximately 6-7 hours, broken up with regular breaks.

Dette må du ta med

Daypack to carry personal items

Water bottle - preferably 2L as there are no refill opportunities along the track
