Dette kommer dere til å gjøre
We will jump right into the real Hong Kong with a visit to a lively dry and wet market, from this we can buy our own fresh seafood and we would have them cooked upstairs at the cooked food market. Experience water front park and the promenade, Hung Shing Temple and hear the stories behind spots, and what is more, we would hop on to the local taxi boat - we will have delicious tastings of local food and drinks on the way! If you’re here for the first time, book it on the early days of your trip so that you will have a general idea of the city’s food and culture layout in different areas. If you’re a frequent visitor, you will like the true local taste I choose for you. And you shall get to know more of the stories and history behind them. Here’re some of the places we will visit together: we shall taste signature clay pot rice, “zhong zi” which is a traditional Chinese rice dish made of glutinous rice stuffed with different fillings and wrapped in bamboo leaves, beef brisket noodles, local pastries, Chinese herbal tea, heart-melting HK dessert “Tou Fu Fa”, etc...
Hong Kong runs deep in my blood. I was born and raised in the new territory area, a village called Ngau Tam Mei, our family started off as relatively poor, so in terms of food and restaurant, we didn’t go to fancy places. I remembered very clearly it was mostly traditional “Yum Cha” with the metal trolley pushing around or “Dai Pai Dong” for evening meals, these are the open-air street stalls that serve cooked food or my mum would take me to some very old fashionable open-air place with no air-condition to have “Chu Chang Feng”. And every morning she would drive me to this village dim sum place for a steam spare rib rice for breakfast before school. This was exactly how I was brought up and I really love to share this old unique Chinese culture based on my experience. I would like to share the stories of Hong Kong one tour at a time.
